Make a Difference

The PSU game and the Clinton letter to ABC are big news hits that you can hear about just about anywhere else. So this afternoon I thought I'd focus on the Hazleton illegal immigration situation. The city whose ordinance has made national headlines and has the ACLU on the beat via lawsuit against them, has gone to even further measures. This time, instead of backing down for fear of litigation costs and issues of federalism, they have gotten even more strict on immigration.

I would like to take this time to say GO PSU and GO BARLETTA. Lou's showing the northeast that sometimes you have to make tough decisions. Lou is also setting for the government a positive example of the way immigration policy should be. His policy/opinions reflect not only his city but also the vast majority of Americans.

Lou continues to garner support from the web site he established, Small Town Defenders. With no sign of weakness on his behalf, they may need all the financing you can offer. It not only shows your support of Hazleton but also of anti-illegal immigration in general.

The American Check-Up would like to again thank Lou Barletta for his courage and leadership in defending his town, supporting his citizens, and showing the world that even you can make a difference.

The Critics

Hollywood hasn't really produced anything worth watching - notably - in some time. There is, however, something to be said about the amount of 9-11 movies being made. World Trade Center is out and doing well, United 93 the same. The Path to 9/11 (an ABC production), however, has truth-protecting liberals aghast at its accuracy and criticisms of the Clinton Administration and legacy.

The outcry, though, is far less than conservatives outcry over the Assassination of President Bush drama. That film comes out depicting the sitting President being shot and the liberals discussed how scholarly it was and engaging as to encourage dialogue. Right.

The liberals are mad because it attacks them - something they are supposed to do in films. The liberals are mad because of the Clinton appraisal as they have to protect their Michael Jordan and the rising of Hillary.

Again, where was this infuriation with the assassination film? Other than conservatives, it was nonexistent.

The Dumbacratic critics give it 3 - could possibly have been prevented - planes down.

Picking Sides

This is not Great Britain. Therefore, a vote of no confidence is not going to go over. Parliamentary in nature, the act of censuring a Cabinet member is specifically designed to embarrass the Bush Administration in hopes that Rumseld might resign. Newsflash: he's not going to!

The liberal calls for censureship on Rumsfeld come about just after he's become more outspoken against them. The whole idea is to attack the administration, nothing more, nothing less.

The Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, said that "on issue after issue, Secretary Rumsfeld has made the wrong decisions." Is that so? Then why did you vote in favor of the War in Iraq, Mr. Kerry? Your actions are to be considered as what?

The great response comes later in the article, "If my Democrat colleagues spent half the time helping us fight this war on terror as they do attacking the administration, we'd be a lot closer to winning this war," said Sen. Jim DeMint. "They are united in the idea of retreat and defeatism." Isn't that the God's honest truth?

Meanwhile, the WOT continues for the conservatives and the WOB (War on Bush) continues for the liberals. Who's side are you on?

Youseff

What's up down in Gitmo? Occupancy! This is good news to mine ears but not to the anti-Gitmo liberals and the mainstream media. Being the primary source of many criticisms facing the Administration since Abu Grahib, Gitmo continues to flourish as a terrorist waiting pool. The government recently transferred in 14 detainees (some Al Qaeda) from an undisclosed/secret CIA prison where they were being held.

Why this drives liberals nuts? That's right, because the base is a SECRET! The acknowledgment of unknown prisons and waiting pools for terrorists shows that our country acts in the interests of national security first and terrorist rights last. Who cares about the Geneva Convention? These guys wear no uniform and represent no country. "Some of those suspects are linked to the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen and the 1998 attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania." Ahh the Clinton peace years.

Why else does it drive liberals bananas? Because the existence of a secret prison means there must be more secret prisons! The ACLU continues to demand, vis lawsuits, full disclosure of the identities of those in custody of the government. Not like you can pronounce their names or anything!

Comical addition to post with no relevance to subject matter: In Canada my friend (a Citizens Voice writer) and I were in a Taxi drivin by a driver who proclaimed, "my name is Youseff." "Useless?" he replied.

Expiration Date

After Iran ignored the threats to cease nuclear activity or face UN sanctions you'd expect they would be feeling a harsh backlash by now. Nope. No sanctions yet, no nothing yet. In fact, "talks" over what exactly to do are being postponed.

So instead of nipping this problem in the bud, they will be on holiday. The Kremlin humorously thinks the sanctions will be counterproductive. That's right, punishment is no longer a deterrent. Maybe they should try to rehabilitate Iran.

Now that your done laughing at the UN with the rest of people with brains, you can concentrate on recognizing what's important here: the UN is useless and we should no longer fund it. Like the world peace coalition, we should no longer fund the UN because it is useless and yields zero productivity. Not to mention that the US means what it says, these guys don't. The UN is the equivalent of a parent grounding their 5 year old. The meant it when they said it, but they have no resolve to carry out the punishment.

When milk surpasses the expiration date it's customary to decant it. When you leave it sit in the fridge it spoils further and begins to stink. The UN is full of milk cartons.

Two Sides to the Story

There are two sides to every story. In the case of the WOT, there is Bush's side and there's their side. Who do you think the media goes along with? Theirs, of course.

Former Iranian President Mohammad Kihatami did an interview with the Communist News Network (CNN) giving him all the free time he could want to tell the world that the Iraq invasion has increased the hatred of the US within the region. Despite the fact that were trying to help the region, he also denies Iran's intentions in the development of nuclear weapons. So would I!

There are a few important things to notice about this article. First, it is the FORMER Iranian President speaking - not the current nutcase Ahmadinejad. This serves the purpose of making them seem more tame because this guy doesn't call for the killing of Israeli's and the end of Western influence nor does he make threats. Second, they don't single out Bush my liberal friends (who you think is the catalyst to their hatred), they single out "America." Everything is "America does this" "America does that." Not Bush, Bush, Bush. Third, notice no specific questions about their funding the terrorists supposedly joining Al Qaeda because of our invasion of Iraq. Forth, what would that have to do with Iran? Fifth, how come this guy is calling for peace but no other Muslims are...in fact, their calling for the opposite.

When the media starts asking these towel heads some real questions like the so-called journalists they portray, I'll start paying attention more often. This was a snowball interview no different than Ahmadinejad's recent TV interview. The whole purpose was to make these freaks sound reasonable. Meanwhile, they're responsible for death, terrorism, and the development of WND's. These are the people liberals advocate "talks" with. The CBS interview was sensationalism at its finest and an attempt to make Bush look like the bad guy. Here, were interviewing the man calling for the death of Israel, an ally, instead of our President who we should be rallying behind.

When Iran develops a nuclear weapon and points it at the US - or worse - uses it, is Mike Wallace going to apologize to the country for letting this guy use American television time to make himself look innocent?

Even if you don't like Bush, you have to trust him over these Mid Eastern Countries.

Political Freak Show

Seen the MTV VMA's? This circus is full of the clowns who went on musical tours of their own, campaigning trips, and spoke out about their political feelings during the past election. The once entertaining annual television broadcast has been reduced to a waste of time and a freak show.

Pink, an ugly and half talented artist, sung an except from her song "Dear Mr. President" where she is extremely critical of him. Yah, that's what people want to hear. No one cares what she thinks and no one really finds this garbage entertaining anymore. Some woman I couldn't even identify came out and did a two minute cut-down of Paris Hilton which not only made no sense and lacked humor but had nothing to do with anything and had no point!

I'm certain that the Beach Boys in Wilkes-Barre was more entertaining.

How did everyone dress? Like a freak. What ever happened to dressing up? These people look like HOT TOPIC had a going out of business sale and bought out the stores. Less, Fifty Cent who went all out on his sweat clothes. Fine examples. The bands? No talent. The show lacked in all aspects and this is why MTV is not the channel it used to be. Because it embraced the freaks and started taking political leanings. MTV is basically a breeding ground for the DNC. It's liberalism at its finest.

Every time the elections come around they have specials like "VOTE OR DIE" and "CHOOSE OR LOSE" where you can all but taste the liberalism. usually the host is Gideon Yago, an idiot with a microphone.

So where is the sanity on MTV? In their Road Rules? The Real World? The OC? The channel is devoid of anything worth while and though it's supposed to be about music videos they have been replaced by reality TV and liberals with microphones.

Number 2, Number 2

Everyone in the administration is boasting the capture of Al-Qaeda's number 2 man in Iraq.

Hamed Jumaa Farid al-Saeedi, known as Abu Humam or Abu Rana, was captured north of Baghdad a few days ago "along with another group of his aides and followers," Mouwafak al-Rubaie said. That's better than my response, "Who?" I didn't have the patience nor the ability to read most of this article as it had more Muslim names than I knew existed. But they also included a statement that Iraq is lacking leadership right now. Really? Though I am thankful for every terrorist we capture and support the efforts and progress we have been making in the WOT, we still haven't gotten the person who matters most in this most dangerous of threats facing our nation - Osama bin Laden. Isn't this guy the world's most dangerous terrorist and the mastermind behind 9-11 and a number of other worldwide acts of terror?

Listen up FNC, the Administration and other conservatives: even I recognize that "Mission Accomplished" was a joke and that as long as Osama is at large I and a number of Americans will not be satisfied with the state of action in the WOT. Wise Up!

Lacking leadership? Drudge links an American terrorist with ties to Al Qaeda. Listen to this one: "The 48-minute video, posted on an Islamic militant Web site, had footage of al-Qaida's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahri, and of Adam Yehiye Gadahn, a 28-year-old American who the FBI believes attended al-Qaida training camps in Pakistan and served as an al-Qaida translator."

HOW MANY NUMBER 2'S ARE THERE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!??!

This is the reason the American public is exhausted about the war. Too much bullshit (pardon my very rare cursing). Why the President or someone doesn't get on TV and start explaining exactly what's going on to the public is beyond me. If I were Pres I'd speak to the public weekly at least keeping everyone aware of what's going on instead of the drive by media.

And by the way, this guy is an American. This is the kind of loser targeted by domestic surveillance. You don't think this goon is communicating with the international forces of Al-Qaeda? This is the person who should be targeted by profiling. This is the person who makes closing the borders a necessity. This is the face of the person who may be responsible for your next attack in America.
